The story begins as an ordinary walk in the countryside that takes a magical turn, leading you to stumble into an enchanted forest.

Prints are inspired by the flowers and animals encountered on the way, as well as a little house hidden among the trees of the forest and botanical arboretums.

In the beginning, Cath Kidston takes you through a traditional English orchard full of of fresh, ripe fruit from the trees – apples, pears and cherries – nestled among fields of beautiful garden flowers – orchard blossoms, thorp flowers, roses and tulips – in a mixture of scales and artwork styles.

Inspired by the late summer and autumn harvest, the palette in The Orchard are composed of soft creams and khaki greens with hints of lemon yellow, sky blue and apple red.

Beyond the orchard, the adventure takes a magical turn into an Enchanted Forest full of owls, hedgehogs and foxes rustling among the lush green foliage and beds of woodland flowers.

The prints feature the forest itself, the animals that live there and a further artful experimentation of woodland florals – such as, expressively styled tulips, bluebells and mono poppies- in a color scheme of rich forest greens, navy, berry red, plum, sky blue and soft grey.

The fairy tale guides you to The Little House in the Woods. Just like Goldilocks, you decide to enter the warm and inviting house. Although nobody is home, you admire the beautiful interior and the decorations – the heavy floral curtains at the windows to quaint paisley throws on plush armchairs, and even an old-fashioned dial telephone.

Norfolk Rose and Rose Paisley prints sum up the cozy atmosphere of the little house in a soothing palette of charcoal, vintage pink, stone and warm blue, which captures the feeling of a crisp autumn evening as the day draws to a close.
