When Marc Jacobs became the artistic director of Louis Vuitton in 1997, he created a trend which brought together many collaborative projects between luxurious fashion and fine arts.  Since then Louis Vuitton has continued to insinuate leading art world titans starting with Stephen Sprouse to Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince and Yayoi Kusama etc. into luxurious fashion.

Now, Espace Louis Vuitton Hong Kong proudly presents, Time Traveler, joint exhibition by Hong Kong artists Au Hoi Lam and Sarah Tse organized and curated by Louis Vuitton . The second time Au Hoi Lam and Sarah Tse join hands for an exhibition. The exhibition explores the psychological spectrum weaved between the real and the imagined.

In the other hand, Tse’s work uses visual cues to trigger emotions within the audience. Casting domestic objects in white porcelain, the pieces retain the shape of the original like a lingering shadow casting a sense of reminiscence of the original object and owner swelling the audience with a nostalgic feeling. The fragile porcelain brings out the idea that existence itself, is fragile, but even if an object or person isn’t physically with us anymore fragments of their existence is recorded in out memories.
