Entertainment Expo 10th Anniversary

Just a little while ago, a press conference was held for the opening of the upcoming entertainment expo. This year marks the 10th edition of the Entertainment Expo, and at the conference the highlights were revealed for us to look forward to. The multimedia events open 24th March and will continue to 13th April at different venues in our beautiful city.


“Get into the Scene” is the slogan for this year’s Entertainment Expo. The idea is to bring together all the different entertainment industries together to create a month filled with joyous events and festivals. Amongst all the exciting events FILMART is possibly the biggest one. About 760 companies from nearly 30 countries will participate in FILMART this year.


Here is the schedule for some of the exciting events at the Entertainment Expo 2014:

1 March Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award:

Based entirely on audited sales of records by local, regional and international artists and producers in Hong Kong, the IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Award is a one-of-a-kind event!

24-27 March 2014 FILMART:

One of world’s top three event of its kind in term of exhibitor numbers, the FILMART acts as a one-stop global marketplace for TV, animation & digital entertainment, equipment and postproduction services. FILMART is one of the key platforms where internationally renowned producers, distributors, investors and professionals use to launch promotions and network with key industry players and negotiate deals to bring us more wonderful entertainments!

24 March – 7 April 2014 HK International Film Festival[HKIFF]:

Screening over 280 titles from more than 50 different countries in 11 major cultural venues, HKIFF is Hong Kong’s largest cultural event. The HKIFF reaches more than 600,000 audiences including 5,000 business executives attending FILMART.

13 April Hong Kong Film Awards:

Annual event promoting Hong Kong films, recognizing outstanding achievements and encourage the industry to continue bringing us the wonderful films we love so much.

28 March HK Asian-Pop Music Festival:

To promote music culture, top recording artists from all over the region come together to take part in a song contest for the Super Nova Award! The event will be produced for television and broadcasted in seven countries and regions including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.
