With the beginning of fall, anticipation is building for Ocean Park’s iconic 14th Halloween Fest. With unprecedented levels of terror created this year as well as family-friendly attractions, this year’s Halloween Fest has something for everyone.

One particular innovation will be two Transforming Attractions to ensure new experiences for guests as day becomes night; the cheeky idea of Phantom Studios, where guests can take funny photos as they ‘audition’ for the camera. However at 5pm, the lighting, music and even set design will change from fun to frightening, revealing the true face of Horror-wood Studios. Similarly, the ethereal Forest of Legends in the daytime shows Chinese mythical characters such as a beautiful nine-tailed fox spirit. However as night falls, it takes on a sinister cast as night falls and emerges as the Forest of Doom, with pale bone spirits and giant spiders lying in wait among the bamboo groves.

In addition, the team behind horror blockbuster Rigor Mortis is bringing their award-winning skill to recreate the eerie, abandoned public estate setting and zombie-making process that saw the film scoop Best Visual Effects in the Hong Kong Film Awards. Characters from the film will reappear in Rigor Mortis LIVE, as guest wander down the dark corridor that leads to apartment 2442…

The ultimate horror however, is yet to come. H14, the scariest haunted house in 14 years of Ocean Park’s Halloween Fest, will draw upon your innermost phobias in order to create an experience which truly tests the limits of a person’s courage. This extreme experience will be customized for each group to enter, and as such will only be open to those who register online. This intense take on the survival horror game genre- but here seen in real life- will be irresistible to any adrenaline or horror junkie.

For family outings, Ocean Park has organized Asia’s first super-sized Doraemon Halloween attraction, with Whiskers Harbour now the site of Doraemon and friends in costume, as well as the lovable blue cat’s House of Gadgets; items from the classic anime such as the Time Machine or Anywhere Door will also be available for hours of fun. Exclusive Doraemon Halloween items can also be bought by guests to take their happiness home with them.
