Inspired by the instrument pane of the 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe, the Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph shows a strong sense of elegance and beauty. Striking a balance between the raw powers of automobile with graceful tones of nature, the handmade wooden dial of the timepiece radiates a classic gentleman’s charm and sophistication

The curved case horns and chronograph pushers of the timepiece mirrors the powerful yet graceful lines of the automobiles body, combined with the loupe d’orme, aka Elm Burl Wood, the timepiece beautifully resembles the iconic Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe instrument panel. The veneers used for the dials are carefully selected to have the right concentration of knots and grain, so although they may look similar, each watch is completely unique.

Much like automobiles, the exterior is powered by a high performance movement, much like the Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph. The self-winding caliber RL751A/1 runs with 39 jewels and beats at 28, 800 vibrations per hour. With a 65-hours power reserve, the timepiece is superbly functional and flawlessly crafted, showing of the brands impeccable craftsmanship.RL_Automotive_3_4
