For Design Miami this year, Louis Vuitton dives back into functionality with PLAYING WITH SHAPES project. Conceived in 1972 by Pierre Paulin for American office furniture maker Herman Miller, the residential project is a one of a kind project that has never been produced until now.

To insert the project to modern trends, the Maison shows off their presence as design pioneers through developing new shapes and materials to breathe new life into the project. The project embodies the common conviction shared between designer Pierre Paulin and Louis Vuitton, in which “the emotion of beauty is born of the perfect balance between the object and its use, because refinement is above all precision, and elegance, pertinence”.
