For Spring-Summer this year, Bottega Veneta’s Women’s collection is inspired by the moving body. The unexpected combination of materials in the collection matched with the effortless and relaxed designs of the pieces make this collection a surprisingly sophisticated selection of luxurious wears.

Women's SS15 Look 37_LRDominated by shades of blues, the collection has a refreshing aquatic feel, with touches of sunshine colors such as sand, pale, banana and pale flamingo. The graceful silhouettes range in length, but always keep the body free. The non-restrictive pieces in the collection elongate the body leaving a light trail that highlights the body as the wearer moves. Women's SS15 Look 10_LRThe unusual combination in materials in this season’s collection plays an interesting part in creating sophisticated styles. The slight indifference in texture and weight of the materials are cleverly put to use in this collection to create subtle details which complements the effortless silhouettes of the pieces. Light fluid fabrics combined with knit cardigans that embraces the body results in beautifully glamorous silhouettes emphasizing the feminine form.

Women's SS15 Look 21_LROne of the highlights of this collection is the use of mesh like fabrics. The fascinating dimensionality of the pieces shines when the body is in motion, ”I was thinking about dance, though not su much the performance aspect than, say, a dancer on her way to rehearsal,” Creative Director Tomas Maier explains, ”The woman who has beautiful posture, moves her arms gracefully, and has a dancer’s walk – this is what I found inspiring.”
