While the romanticism of the French and the direct pungency of Sichuan is an interesting match, exquisite wines are always a great complement to fine cuisine.

Known for its hot and numbing taste, Sichuan cuisine focus on its use of spices and garnishes to create a rich and complex flavor. On April 29, Regal Palace of Regal Hongkong Hotel will hold a special 8-course, Sichuan-style dinner with various fine wines from France. The chef will make specific dishes to match accordingly the characters of the wines to give the perfect combinations.

The meal will be prepared by the experienced  Christopher Yeung, Executive Chinese Chef of Regal Palace. Starting off with Tavel, Château Trinquevedel 2014 and the appetizers, Yeung will also use Château du Hureau, Tuffe, Cabernet Franc 2013 to accompany the flavorful Sichuan-style sesame chicken, and Domaine desBernardins, Muscat de Beaumes de Venise 2013 for foie gras and Dandan noodles. These creative matchups will definitely give you an undeniable dining experience.
